Eight Output Formats
WebP, AVIF, JPG, PNG, GIF, BMP, TIFF and ICO. The browser encodes what it can, and the built-in encoders cover the rest — so every format is really available.

WebP, AVIF, JPG, PNG, GIF, BMP, TIFF and ICO. The browser encodes what it can, and the built-in encoders cover the rest — so every format is really available.
Adjust supported compression settings to balance file size and visual quality.
Process multiple images in one workflow, one after another.
Choose appropriate quality settings for supported lossy formats.
Resize images to the dimensions needed for websites, blogs, and other projects.
Images are processed locally in your browser; their contents are not uploaded to a server.
HOW IT WORKS
Four steps, no account and no waiting — the whole thing runs inside this page.
Select images from your device or drag and drop them into the upload area.
Pick the output format, then tune the quality level or target dimensions.
Click the conversion button and watch the progress bar fill as each image is processed.
Download each converted image on its own, or grab everything together as a ZIP file.
LIVE DEMO
A real encoder running on this page. Move the quality slider and the file size updates instantly — the sample image is generated on your device and never uploaded.

USE CASES
Wherever images end up on the web, a smaller file helps.
Ship lighter hero images and thumbnails so pages paint faster and search rankings benefit from a quicker load.
Resize a batch of photos to the exact dimensions each network expects before you post them.
Cut down product photo weight in bulk so catalogues stay fast on slow mobile connections.
Compress screenshots, illustrations and article artwork while keeping graphics crisp and lossless where it matters.
Keep newsletters under size limits by shrinking the images that make up most of the message weight.
Convert a folder of assets to a modern format in one batch and pull the results down as a single ZIP.
WebP supports both lossy and lossless compression, and it supports transparency. Depending on the original format and encoding settings, it can reduce image file sizes. Smaller images can lower bandwidth requirements, and optimized images can help improve website loading performance. WebP does not always produce a smaller file, so always compare the results shown after conversion.
A flexible web format with lossy and lossless compression and transparency, well suited to web images.
A modern format that can deliver strong compression and potentially smaller files. It is produced with the browser's own encoder when there is one, and otherwise with WebCodecs (AV1) plus a built-in AVIF container.
The common choice for photographs, using lossy compression. It does not support transparency.
A lossless format that supports transparency, often used for graphics, screenshots and logos.
Encoded here with a built-in palette quantizer: the quality slider sets how many of the 256 colours are used. Transparent areas are kept.
An uncompressed 32-bit bitmap that keeps every pixel and the alpha channel. Handy for desktop software that refuses anything else.
A print and archive format. The files are written with PackBits compression, so they stay a manageable size.
Windows icon files, written from a copy of your image that is scaled down to the 256 × 256 pixels an icon allows.
Input files are opened with the browser's own image decoder, so JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, GIF, BMP, SVG and ICO can all be converted.
Upload your image, choose WebP as the output format, adjust the quality if necessary, and click Convert Images. Download the converted file when processing is complete.
The tool is designed to be available free of charge without requiring registration.
WebP supports lossy and lossless compression. Use lossless encoding when supported and when preserving the decoded image data is important. Lossy conversion may change visual details. This tool uses your browser’s encoder in lossy mode, so a quality-setting of 100 is not guaranteed to be lossless.
Yes. WebP supports transparency. The result depends on the source image and the selected processing settings.
No. File-size savings depend on the original format, image content, encoding settings, and quality level.
When browser-based processing is used, the image contents can remain on your device during conversion. Other website features and third-party scripts must be configured consistently with the site’s privacy policy.
Yes. Select multiple supported images, configure your output settings, and convert them in one workflow. Download individual files or use the ZIP download option.
Yes. Enter the desired width and height and enable Maintain Aspect Ratio to preserve the original proportions.
WebP, AVIF, JPG, PNG, GIF, BMP, TIFF and ICO. WebP, JPG and PNG come from the browser's own encoder. AVIF uses the browser's encoder when it has one and WebCodecs otherwise. GIF, BMP, TIFF and ICO are written by built-in encoders and are therefore always available.
Yes. Uploaded files are opened with the browser's own image decoder, so JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, GIF, BMP, SVG and ICO files can all be converted to any of the output formats.
GIF can only store up to 256 colours, so the image is reduced to a palette with a built-in quantizer. The quality slider controls how many colours are used, and transparent areas stay transparent.
No browser can display a TIFF file, so the result is shown as a label instead of an image. The downloaded file itself is a normal TIFF that any image editor can open.
Pick a target format and the converter is set up for you.
